The ADA and Service Animals Adriann Stewart

    • Documentary

I will be discussing what the Americans with disabilities act is and how it protects people with disabilities and their rights to have service animals in public domains. I will then go on to discuss what a service animal is and what is not considered to be a service animal. How service animals can be identified by staff or public accommodations will be discussed. The dos and don’ts of what can be asked will be identified as well. I will also be talking about the lack of a federal standard for training and certification of service animals and how owners are required to train the animals themselves. My goal for this podcast is to educate the public on the lack of regulations for service animals, but also to highlight why there are so few regulations on service animals.
