This one draws you in

I have been holding off on a review for this podcast as I was trying to see how felt about it after a large number of episodes. So I am finally getting around to it and can say how much I tremendously enjoy Shawn’s work. Overall I find Shawn’s style engaging and welcoming. This is always a must for podcasts to which I form a long term commitment. The presentation is professional and the content clearly articulated. I also enjoy the thematic approach as this is a massive topic. It makes it easier for me to absorb the knowledge presented. What I enjoy most is the questions that Shawn raises in my mind. I have a broad brush understanding of US history and a special interest in several aspects, as well as studying the early early settlement of Massachusetts as part of an early modern topic in my under graduate program 25 years ago. However much of the information Shawn presents I have had only a rudimentary understanding, if that. I am learning a great deal by listening and have no hesitation in recommending this podcast and awarding a 5 star rating.
