Hey just a question.

Hey, your podcast helps me understand more of mental health. I write my own fan fiction and it helps me as well. I know you probably done with DC Batman ect. But I have to ask could Batman have possible anxiety and depression. My logic is that the fear and anxiety might make him more focused due to the adrenaline but not enough fear to endure a panic. Also Batman never smiles or laughs is there a chance he may be depressed or has he just got a great poker face? I am not an expert but I find phycology interesting and Batman’s really cold… detached. It just makes me wonder are these some… possibilities. He visits crime alley every year which added with his behaviour makes me wonder as well if he doesn’t want to let go of his trauma because that would mean accepting there are things he can’t control. It means accepting he is only human and even Batman can’t take all the bad people and put them behind bars. It would mean accepting life for what it is not what he thinks it is and I think, stay with me here I don’t have the right word for it. I think he may be scared of losing control, not only of himself and his temper and so on but also possibly losing control or like feeling as if he lost control of the world around him. If you see this can you address it please, I don’t have other platforms and well you get me asking questions.

The only podcast Batman fans need.

Brian Ward and Dr. Letamendi present an evidence-based approach to Batman and his pantheon of villains. The only podcast Batman fans will ever need.

Boring lack of discussion and insistence on removing all fun

Very frustrating to listen to. Andrea is obviously an incredibly accomplished Dr, but her political non-answers and lack of insight are irritating. I understand not wanting to label or generalise at the expense of mental health awareness, but this is a podcast about a tv show and a bit of fun would be welcome. Lighten up - you’re podcasting about a comic tv series, not presenting your thesis! I’ve had more fun at medical research conferences. Andrea monotones her way around and around a concept without ever addressing it or deeply discussing it. Andrew tried to bring some enthusiasm and energy to the podcast, but is constantly reined in. Highly recommend skipping this one and listening to Popcorn Psychology or Capes on the Couch instead.
