The Art Of Listening To Your Body

Jin Ong

Jin Ong is medical intuitive, pattern hunter, theme breaker and messenger of truth. Trained professionally as an osteopath, psychosomatic therapist, western medical acupuncturist and herbalist. She has worked with thousands of clients. She started two bricks and mortar clinics she later went on to sell to move into the online space as a coach + mentor. She is the creator of the Release Process ® and host of The Art Of Listening To Your Body Podcast. Jin works with complex physical and emotional conditions that don’t respond to traditional or conventional therapies, including surgery. Her work also includes those with cancer, autoimmune conditions and fertility issues. She is a strong believer that your body is a manifestation of your emotional state. The experiences, events and traumas in your life are associated with an emotion that wants to be expressed and released at the time. If you don’t know how to express or rather you suppress because that emotion is inconvenient, it gets stored in your body as a source of stress. You can compensate until you can’t anymore. When it all gets too much, your body presents with physical issues: pain, injury, illness, disease; mental imbalances: anxiety, depression that overtakes your life and fears and phobias; behavioural dysfunction: addiction, excess control and discipline; as well as recurring issues playing out in your life. You don’t need to end up at this crisis point. Jin weaves in the practical and the woo to intuitively read your body and decipher the messages it has for you. Most importantly she facilitates a deeply cathartic and transformational process to empty out your emotional cup, create space for more and manifest the life you truly desire. She loves to dig deep, speak about the unspoken, and help you process unresolved emotions that hold them back from living the life you truly want. It all starts with getting comfortable with discomfort and speaking about the unspoken.

Autoimmune Hepatitis + Ulcerative Colitis · Chanel MacKenzie

At 30, Chanel was living with a “trio” of autoimmune conditions: Ulcerative Colitis, Type 1 Autoimmune Hepatitis, and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, plus severe iron deficiency and exhaustion. After years of trying everything from holistic approaches to strict diets, she finally surrendered to medication… and still felt something was missing. In this episode, I talk with Chanel, a 30‑year‑old community support worker from New Zealand, who shares how years of flares, hospitalisation, very high liver enzymes, low iron and a background in holistic medicine led to a crisis point where conventional meds were necessary—but still didn’t feel like the full answer. Inside six weeks of the Release Process®, Chanel experienced: Normalised systemic inflammation, iron and hemoglobinA significant drop in liver enzymesA complete shift in how she sees medication, boundaries, relationships and her own leadership This conversation explores how processing long‑held emotions changed not only Chanel’s inner world, but also her health markers, work opportunities and sense of purpose. Decompensation: When your body and emotions unravel

In this episode, I explore decompensation—what happens when the body and emotional system can no longer keep compensating and finally start to unravel. Drawing on stories from my osteopathy days and my Release course, I show how physical symptoms and emotional states are often deeply linked, and why going “too hard, too fast” with treatment or emotional work can sometimes make things worse before it gets better. In this episode, we cover: What decompensation is on a physical and emotional levelHow the body stores and compensates for unprocessed emotionsWhy symptoms often appear only when your “emotional cup” is fullHow physical issues (like back or hip stiffness) can hide deeper root causesA case where mid–lower back tightness revealed a hip and nerve issueA case where hip dysfunction was compensating for old, unresolved anxietyWhy emotional work needs to be paced to your capacity, not rushedThe importance of support when you start working at the emotional root level Links & Next Steps: If this episode resonated with you and you’d like to explore this work more deeply, Jin's book is the best place to begin. In this episode, I speak with Louise, an Australian regulatory professional, Air Force reservist and devoted dog mum. Louise shares how discovering Release through a colleague and saying “yes” to the program — despite doubts around time and money — coincided with unexpected promotions, significant pay rises, and deeper ease in her relationship. We explore how processing emotions and improving communication changed the way Louise shows up at work, negotiates, relates to her partner, and holds a clear vision for her dream home and future. Why Emotional Work Doesn't Have To Be Heavy

In this episode, I explore the often-overlooked power of processing positive experiences and emotions, not just the painful or uncomfortable ones. Drawing on years of running my signature course Release, I share how “Positive Releases” can be just as potent as processing negative events—and why they’re sometimes exactly what your nervous system needs. You’ll hear about: Why we naturally gravitate toward processing negative experiences firstWhat a positive release actually is (and what it’s not)How to keep emotional processing simple, safe, and effectiveWhen focusing on negative memories becomes too much for the bodyHow positive releases can help you celebrate, integrate, and expand into more joy If you’ve ever felt like emotional work is “all about the heavy stuff,” this episode will remind you that your past holds moments of joy, pleasure, pride, and celebration that are just as important to process and feel. Why specificity is important when processing emotions

In this episode, I explore why being specific is essential when it comes to processing your emotions. Rather than trying to “release anger” or “clear sadness” in a vague, general way, I explain why it’s far more powerful to work with concrete experiences, memories, events, and interactions where those emotions first arose but were never fully expressed. I share how true healing happens when we gently revisit these specific moments and finally give our emotions the time, space, and safety they didn’t have at the time. I also announce some exciting new changes to how you can enter the Release world, including more integration support before live rounds begin. In This Episode, You’ll Learn: Why trying to “process anger” or “release sadness” in general often isn’t enoughThe real reason emotions like anger, sadness, guilt, shame, and fear get stored in the bodyHow unprocessed emotions can manifest physically, mentally, behaviourally, energetically, or spirituallyCommon reasons you didn’t process emotions at the time: You will also learn the difference between: Processing on an emotional state (e.g. anger, sadness)Processing on a specific experience, memory, or interactionWhy specificity makes emotional work more tangible, grounded, and effective Links & Next Steps: About Release – Jin’s Signature Emotional Processing Program Release is Jin’s signature program where she teaches you how to process your emotions through specific experiences, rather than staying in vague emotional labels. Inside a live support round, you will: Share your history at a level that feels comfortable for youHave Jin interpret your experiences and highlight which releases to work onBe guided toward the most appropriate cheat sheets and process variationsMove through your releases with support, integration, and a sense of safety Jin describes what happens for people in Release as “just magic”—because when you finally process the experiences that shaped you, everything else can begin to shift. Manifesting a 7 Year Dream in 1 Year · Gracie Bodo

Jin Ong interviews Gracie about an 18-month transformational journey that began with Jin’s Release emotional-processing program and expanded into major life shifts: ending a toxic relationship, launching into real estate (an 18-unit apartment acquisition), discovering a high‑paying travel nanny career, and receiving unexpected financial support. This episode covers how emotional work created space for clarity, boundaries, embodiment work that collapsed timelines for her vision, and practical lessons in property management, hiring, self-care and receiving.
