Awesome Show, But . . .

Love Afterbuzz, love the show, love the panel - but . . . I wanted to give a different perspective. I am a newly divorced dad who is having to go through custody issues battling an emotionally unstable ex. Now while I do agree that Mary-Louise is very manipulative, I don't believe she's psycho and I do believe she honestly is doing what she thinks is best for the kids. I know the Monteray 5 are our protaginists in the show, but come on - apart from Jane, Ed and Bonnie, none of them are great parents. Madeline pushes her issues on to her girls, Renata is ridiculously extravangent with money, equating wealth with love and Celeste is a complete mess. Do we understand why she's a mess? Absolutely. But remember this woman self medicated and got into an accident that nearly killed her. She brought a one night stand home forgetting the boys were coming back that morning. And was very physical with the boys in breaking up a fight. And Mary-Louise saw it all. Now do I think she's out for revenge, and wanting the truth about Perry. Yes, But, do I think she honestly is worried and wants to protect the kids? Yes. I think painting her "evil" and "psycho" is unhelpful and very one-sided. I very much doubt Meryl Streep is playing her as the evil witch. She'd be more nuanced than that. And honestly, I like Celeste and empathise hard what she's gone through, but I don't think she's in the right head space to deal with her kids right now. That's my opinion. Great show guys!
