The Jackson family is arguably one of the most talented musical families in the history of popular music. The Jackson family burst on to the national and international music scene in the late 60s via the mega success of the Jackson 5. In the years that followed, the family was able to use the early success of the J5 to propel the solo music and entertainment careers of individual family members like Michael, Jackie, and Jermaine.

In time, as the status and influence of the Jackson family continued to grow, the music careers of the Jackson sisters was quietly developed under the care of family patriarch Joe Jackson.
