I am ashamed to admit that I only discovered Blindboy in the last few months, however I am fortunate that my lifestyle allows me to consume multiple episodes in one day, with the same dedication that Blindboy commits to never missing a week of this podcast in 6 years. It does not get old, nor boring as the variety of content ensures listeners will always be welcomed with a podcast hug and the bonus is that we will learn something new each week. The episodes where Blindboy interviews someone he deeply respects tend to be my favourite as you can feel the autistic ‘special interest’ vibe boring into your ear drums. As an autistic person myself, I know that feeling cannot be topped. Apart from the original Yurty Aherne, top episodes include the interviews with Spike Lee and Patrick McCabe. Yurt.

This is consistently one of the best podcasts around. Blind boys mind is amazing and the correlations he finds between history, music, philosophy, art and his daily observations are brilliant. His ‘hot takes’ are mad. The podcast hug he gives on each episode is both comforting and challenging and I highly recommend listening to the Blind Boy Podcast. Yurt! 💋

Now when I feel lonely and so sad at the state of the world, a little dose of Blind Boy’s dulcet tones does wonders for my weary heart.
