Ep. 214 - Randy Shanofsky. (First Assistant Cameraman)
My guest on Episode 214 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast is Randy Shanofsky. Randy is a First Assistant Cameraman. His story is an incredible and how it came to fruition is pretty near impossible. From ordering a pair of shoes out of Rolling Stone magazine, he got his foot in the door in order to become a cinematographer. Almost forty years later he's still at it. He has worked on television shows and movies ever since. From the set of "The Outsiders" to "Beverly Hills 90210", "Masters of the Universe", "24", "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark", "Chicago Hope", "Cocktail", "The New Adventures of Lois and Clark" to "Desperate Housewives" just to name a few. A unique story from a sweetheart of a guy, but don't catch him in a bad mood or he'll put you in your place as he did to Charles Bronson. Yes... Randy wasn't havin' it. Enjoy!
Bonus - Sam Hoyos. (Playing Dead. Red River Podcast)
He is the singer and guitarist of the rock band "Playing Dead" from Long Island. My guest on this Bonus Episode of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast is Sam Hoyos. He is also the host of the "Red River Podcast" and co-host of the "If I Ruled the World" podcast as well. Red River is one of my favorite podcasts. If you're not familiar with it, go check it out. We talk everything from our overall eclectic taste in music and movies to his band which is releasing their EP "Clock Tick Motivation" on May 21st. Sam's a good dude and his projects should be supported. Please don't mind the echo on my end, I explain why that is in the episode. Enjoy.
Ep. 213 - Mark Menghi. (Metal Allegiance. BPMD)
My guest on Episode 213 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace is a "Neighborhood guy". With roots in Brooklyn and residing in Long Island, Mark Menghi has done and continues to do amazing things. From being a regular at L'Amour to playing in local bands in venues all over New York City. He became friendly with members of legendary metal bands. He founded and put together "Metal Allegiance" with him, Dave Ellefson of "Megadeth", Mike Portnoy of "Dream Theater" and a ton of other bands and Alex Skolnick of "Testament". The even cooler thing is that they rotate guest singers and musicians. There's been appearances by Phil Anselmo, Gary Holt, Zetro, Andreas Kisser, Charlie Benante, Geezer Butler, Mark Osegueda and a ton of others. Way too many to name. He also played bass on the "BPMD" project with Bobby Blitz, Phil Demmel and Mike Portnoy as well. Super interesting guy. Much respect. Enjoy.
Ep. 212 - Roseblood: A Friday the 13th Fan Film. (Panel)
The most amount of people so far on The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast! Here on Episode 212 we have Actor, Filmmaker and Director Peter Anthony aka "The Mad Cuban" who was a solo guest several months back. Actor Jason Brooks who I did a Bonus Mini Episode with from a Horror Convention a couple years back. Actor and Film Reviewer Jequient "Q" Broaden and Actor Todd Jenkins who has over 100 iMDB credits to his name. We talk all about "Roseblood: A Friday the 13th Fan Film". Directed and starring Peter as "General Brackbower", Jason Brooks plays "Jason Voorhees" as he did in "Friday the 13th: Vengeance", Todd is an out of pocket orderly in a psychiatric ward and "Q" plays Creighton Duke, the bounty hunter from "Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday". Peter got Lar Park Lincoln in the film to reprise her role as telekinetic "Tina Shepard" from Friday the 13th Part 7" as well as Terry Kiser to play "Dr. Krews" once again, which is an incredible thing especially if you're a fan of the films. This was a lot of fun to do, especially because we're all die hard fans of the F13 Franchise.
Please back the Kickstarter for the sequel to "F13 Vengeance"...

Ep. 211 - Charlie The Hustler: Part 2. (The Bounce Back)
We planned on a second part and now, we're working on a third. A New York City graffiti legend... Charlie The Hustler is once again my guest on Episode 211 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast. We don't go too much into graffiti this time around. There's not many people who are this upfront and honest about what they go through. From what goes on in his head to his battle with addiction and the obsession that accompanies it. He fills us in on what has happened since the last time he was on the show and gets deep into it. Personally, I identify 100% with what he speaks on since I've gone through the exact same things. I could speak with him for hours. Keep your eyes open for an ever deeper third show with him. Enjoy.
Ep. 210 - Diabolic: Part V. (A Fistful of Rapper Bolic)
'Bolic is breakin' records ova here. This is the fifth time the homie has been on The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast. And as always, highly entertaining with zero filter. We talk everything from cavities to starfish DNA to bladder mesh lawsuits. We go from Great White Shark teeth and the absence of so-called "hip hop culture" to how we're not havin' any of this "cancel culture" nonsense. His new album is finished and he says he'll drop it when he feels like it, and that's that. And... he'll be on again i'm sure! Thin-skinned, sensitive types, you've been warned. Nobody wants to hear your complaints if you don't like certain things that are said, so don't waste anyone's time. Enjoy!
