The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 2 - Wema Maduhu. Knuckedust. Ironed Out. Everyone But Us Podcast.

The second in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". This time around my guest is the guitarist of UK Hardcore band "Knuckledust", the bass player for "Ironed Out" and a co-host of the "Everyone Bus Us" podcast... Wema Maduhu! We had a lengthy conversation via Skype about the differences and similarities on how our respective governments are handling the Coronavirus pandemic. We go into the formation of his bands starting with "Knuckledust" and how they helped catapult the London hardcore scene. Then we go into "Ironed Out" and finally what inspired him to start his podcast, "Everyone But Us" who is also on the Dark Satellite Media network. Wema is the man! We could've spoken for another hour at least. I hope you all enjoy this one! Stay safe, hose yourselves off and wash your grimy hands people! Respect.

EP. 151 - Chris Enriquez: Spotlights. Revolver Mag. Total Meltdown. Primitive Weapons. Shai Hulud.

EP. 151 - Chris Enriquez: Spotlights. Revolver Mag. Total Meltdown. Primitive Weapons. Shai Hulud.

Way back on Episode 43, Mario and Sarah Quintero of the three piece band "Spotlights" were the guests on the show. So, my former co-host John Lamacchia put me in touch with the drummer for "Spotlights", my guest on Episode 151 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast... Chris Enriquez. Chris also works for "Revolver Magazine", has played in "Primitive Weapons", filled in on drums for "Beyond" and "Shai Hulud" and now plays guitar in a new hardcore project called "Total Meltdown". His main band, "Spotlights" will be doing a two week run on tour with "Faith No More" and "Korn". We talk about his new band and stepping out from behind the drums and doing something out of his wheelhouse as well as his job at "Revolver". I had never formally met him until the night this was recorded and it couldn't have went better. Super nice guy and an unbelievably talented musician. Enjoy.

Ep. 150 - Vinnie Stigma & Mike Gallo: Part 2. Agnostic Front. Stigma.

The Godfather of Hardcore... Vinnie Stigma and Mike Gallo of "Agnostic Front" and "Stigma" are back for Episode 150 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast! It's been 123 episodes since these gentlemen were on. Stigma had me over his house in Little Italy to play catch up and chop it up about what's been going on. From the new record, "Get Loud", touring, Mike Gallo's original artwork, a buncha banter, Stigma stories and we even touch on the events of 9.11.2001. A couple stand up gentlemen who I respect highly. I hope you enjoy this one! Respect.

The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 1 - Billy Graziadei. Biohazard. Billy Bio. PowerFlo.

The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 1 - Billy Graziadei. Biohazard. Billy Bio. PowerFlo.

The first in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". I always said that i'd never do an episode unless it was face to face. Well, never say never. Under the circumstances I feel it's necessary. My first guest is Billy Graziadei from "Biohazard", "Billy Bio" and "PowerFlo". It was his idea to do a Skype interview and he also came up with the name of these episodes. The audio isn't the greatest due to it being a Skype call over Wifi from across the country. But you get the gist. Not much else could be done about that. Anyway, I always wanted this guy on the show and being that he's out in Los Angeles, the timing would have to be perfect and he's not on the East Coast very often and I'm never in California. One day we'll sit down in person and do another one. Plus, if you go to "The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast" group on Facebook, I also posted the actual Skype video. "Biohazard" is one of my all time favorite bands and is probably the band that i've seen most in my life. And his solo band "Billy Bio" is awesome and so is PowerFlo with him and Sen Dog from "Cypress Hill". Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one. Again, my apologies for the shotty audio. Respect.

Ep. 149 - Ian Shafer Part 2. My Brother. World Class Tattoo Artist.

Ep. 149 - Ian Shafer Part 2. My Brother. World Class Tattoo Artist.

So, I had a tattoo appointment with my best friend Ian Shafer, so I incorporated it into an overnight stay at his house so my daughter can hang out with Ian's son since life and schedules always put a damper on getting the kids together. While I was there he said we could do another episode while I was there. No problem. As mentioned from episode 80, the least time he was on, we went through rehab together from 2004-2006. I consider him my brother. He's my best friend, a psycho, a world class tattoo artist, old school punk rock and hardcore kid and without a doubt, one of the best dad's I know. We just shoot the s**t for an hour about a bunch of random things off the top of our heads. Always a good dude to speak with. Enjoy.

Ep. 148 - Ryan Scott Weber: Founder of the N.J. Horror Con. Film Maker.

Ep. 148 - Ryan Scott Weber: Founder of the N.J. Horror Con. Film Maker.

*Due to the coronavirus, the dates for this convention have been postponed until June 26th through the 28th 2020. The majority of the guests we spoke about have been confirmed for the rescheduled date. That being said, the reason why I am still releasing this episode is because I feel that people need to know about what this man does. And if you're not familiar with what really goes on at a "horror" convention, maybe you'll dig it and wind up attending one in the future. We speak about a lot more other than the convention. Thanks for listening*
The Founder and Creator of the New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival, and filmmaker, Ryan Scott Weber is my guest. I met him at a quiet diner in Somerset, New Jersey to talk horror, his history in his band "Crash Romeo" who used to be signed to "Trustkill Records", what made him pick up a camera to start making music videos and movies. He created one of the newer horror conventions in the Northeast but it stands on it's own with his own twist. He sheds light on independent film makers as well as having actors and actresses for all genres of horror films including some pop culture figures. He also created the "Horror Sideshow Market" which spotlights vendors as well as a few key guests. The New Jersey Horror Con takes place twice a year at the Showboat Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. If you're in the area, you should attend one and check it out. It's kid friendly and a lot of fun to get away. The next convention is in a couple weeks. From Friday, June 26th through Sunday, June 28th. Enjoy!
