Your hosts Emma Doyle & Simon Blair discuss the differences and parallels between coaching in sport and business. Each show starts with a pre-recorded interview with a coach from the world of sport or business. Emma & Simon then discuss the themes and insights raised by the guest coach, providing practical insights for coaches and leaders to drive continuous improvement and make a difference.
Emma's interview with Serena Williams' Coach Patrick Mouratoglou from 2017 with our recent studio discussion pre the 2018 US Open controversy. We talk the importance of breaking patterns, results vs process focus, and a quick lesson in customer service 101 from Simon.
This episode was recorded earlier this year with our featured guest Oliver 'Ollie' Stephens who Emma interviewed in 2017. Ollie sadly passed away in April 2018. We hope this episode, recorded prior to his passing, serves as a nice tribute to Ollie and in a small way helps to preserve his legacy as an enormous contributor to high-performance Tennis Coaching. Ollie was very passionate about tennis. He achieved the highest certifications as PTR Master of Tennis Development, PTR Master of Tennis Performance, and ITPA Master Tennis Performance Specialist. Achievements of a rare quality. Our condolences to his wife Milena and family.
Simon interviews Suzanne Waldron, a leadership mentor and advisor, master facilitator and leadership conference speaker from Perth, Western Australia.
In our first of our series of interviews with local 'Grassroots', volunteer coaches, Simon interviews The Club Coaching Co-Ordinator and U14s & U19s boys coach, Luke Harris from the Devon Meadows Junior Football Club.
Great Scots (Part 2)
Emma interviews Scottish tennis coaches Graham Robertson & Julie Gordon as well as successful entrepreneur Lorraine McDonald in this second part of her 'Great Scots' interviews.
In September 2017, Emma fulfilled a long-term ambition to present at a TEDx event, which she achieved so brilliantly at TEDx Oneonta, New York State. Leading up to her presentation she managed to interview 3 outstanding coaches, leaders and fellow presenters, Bill Berthel, Curt Ebersole & Julie Dostal.

Great job Emm and Simon, it contains quality information not just for tennis coach professionals but interested parents, players and people like myself that make a living from this wonderful game
Keep up the passion!
When you find people out there who share your values and beliefs, it's a remarkable feeling. It makes the world feel a little less lonely as well as helping you see the world from a slightly diffferent perspective. Well done Simon and Emma you do fantastic work! Keep it up :)
I've worked with Emma for years and her passion for coaching is contagious, this podcast is no exception.
