    Another A-League Men review on the Front Page Football Podcast! This time host Christian Marchetti is joined by FPF contributors Antonis Pagonis and Jake Holub as they go through all their takeaways from the weekend's matches!

    The boys start with their key observations from Round 24 (5:05) before Christian waxes lyrical about the incredible Sydney Derby drama on Saturday night (10:54). They discuss more antagonising post-match comments by Western Sydney Wanderers manager Marko Rudan, this time singling out youngster Marcus Younis, Zac Sapsford’s incredible goalscoring run in the derby, Jaiden Kucharski burying previous derby demons, and Hayden Matthews’ incredible season for Sydney FC.

    Elsewhere, Adelaide United blew a huge chance to close in on the top six against Macarthur. Antonis reflects on Nestory Irankunda’s topsy-turvy final home game, including a wonder strike to open the scoring before Adelaide’s questionable penalty-taking process reared its head at the death. The boys also praise Macarthur for showing some grit in the face of adversity and Ariath Piol’s impressive cameo off the bench (32:23).

    They also praise other standout performances across the weekend, including Finn Surman’s reward for a great season with Wellington’s winner against Melbourne Victory, Max Balard and Christian Theoharous cooking for the Mariners, and Clayton Taylor’s strong finish to the season for Newcastle (44:20). With Jamie Maclaren selected ahead of Max Caputo for Melbourne City on Sunday, the boys also discuss who Aurelio Vidmar starts at striker for City's do or die clash against the Wanderers this weekend.

    Finally, Christian finishes with his updated power rankings, as Antonis and Jake also weigh in with their thoughts (1:01:50).

    Another A-League Men review on the Front Page Football Podcast! Host Christian Marchetti takes you through all his thoughts from the weekend's matches! It's a long one!

    Christian starts by discussing the Wanderers falling at home to the Brisbane Roar on Friday night, assessing Macklin Freke's standing amongst the league's best goalkeepers and Marko Rudan's interesting "perception" comment about Western Sydney and Sydney FC (1:27). Christian also reviews Western United-Macarthur, considering whether the Bulls need to be careful about losing their spot in the top six, and the importance of club's having appropriate stadium's following the early success of Western's new facility in Tarneit (13:25).

    Moving onto the round's biggest clash between the Central Coast Mariners and Wellington, Christian showers both sides with praise following a gripping encounter, discussing the mutual respect between Mark Jackson and Giancarlo Italiano (25:35) before moving onto a Melbourne Derby that saw Melbourne Victory stamp their authority over Melbourne City in a dominant fashion (39:36). Later on, he dives into Newcastle-Sydney (48:02), including Robert Mak's controversial red card and the Match Review Panel's inability to hold referees accountable.

    He finishes the review with many thoughts from a wild game between Perth and Adelaide (1:04:12), praising the emergence of Daniel Bennie and yet another Nestory Irankunda masterclass. Christian also provides some insights into the latest surrounding Irankunda's omission from the Olyroos' Asian Cup squad (1:14:18).
