Hopscotch Friday is an informed and impassioned pop culture binge. What does that mean? Well, it means we’ll review stuff and give you a good idea of what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s probably worth a cheeky watch anyway. Importantly, we also give you the *why*. Online we mostly focus on movies and DVDs. But we also like music, games, telly, comics…you name it. If you like what you hear, give us a shout at hopfriday@gmail(.com). Join Stevie and Emmet O'Cuana each week for a bit of pop culture pillow talk.

Quite a good absorbing listen on Pop Culture

You don’t come across a podcast on this subject matter too often. Much of the time you find a very restricted & almost repetitive nature to discussion in Pop Culture. Uniquely and thankfully, the pair discuss what’s missing in Pop Culture analysis; that is to say the eclectic & broader spectrum of topics which have been too often overlooked for the very narrowly defined range of analysis that have overwhelmed any discussion on the subject.
That’s not to say they pass over movies or current events in entertainment, but rather they include their considered discourse on such wide and varied things like festivals, literature, the arts, and alcohol to name a few.
The pair are quite enjoyable and engrossing to listen to as you unknowingly become swept up in their infectious enthusiasm almost immediately; which is always a good sign.
There’s a solid, but not intimidating backlog of podcasts to browse through. Have a listen.

Incisive, intelligent commentary about pop-culture without forgetting the FUN!

This is the pop culture podcast I've been looking for.
The hosts are intelligent, articulate, speak with confidence, objectivity and insight on their chosen subject, while also - just as importantly - being lively, relatable and funny.
Such a refreshing show.
