The impact of COVID on the fitness industry with D-Club247 Fitness A Friend of Mine by OAK Magazine

    • Entrepreneurship

When Brikitta Kool-Daniels set off on a three week family trip to the United States, she never envisaged that her fitness business of 20 years would close on her return.
A few days into their trip, COVID shut down businesses and changed the way of life in the US with Australia following soon after.
Cutting their trip short, Brikitta, her husband Ricky and their three boys returned home to Bendigo only to spend the next 14 days in self isolation.
During this time, Brikitta and Ricky managed their team remotely to ensure government regulations were adhered to, members were communicated with and then finally the temporary closure of their gym https://www.instagram.com/dclub247fitness/ (D-Club 247 Fitness).
Brikitta shares with us how COVID is impacting her business and the fitness industry, why she is holding back on any big pivots, and how she is navigating what she regards as the toughest time in her business career.
Meet my friend - and mentor - Brikitta from D-Club247 Fitness.
