Week 479–The Bush Deacon–Josh Clayton–Rain
The Bush Deacon–Josh Clayton–Rain (After years of drought, we finally have rain, but as Josh observes, the absolute devastation that rain and floods have caused in so many parts of our world over these last few months and years makes him ask, why do we always want something different? He says we can learn much from Jesus and the gospel stories to live with what we have and let our faith inform us and help us to understand that challenges placed before us help us to encounter God and help us to enable others to encounter God. Josh says there's something beautiful about rain. There is something beautiful about water, and especially the impact it has on us and the life that it brings, and most importantly the waters of baptism that changes us forever.)

Week 479–God in the Everyday–Fr Mike Delaney–Highs & Lows
God in the Everyday–Fr Mike Delaney–Highs & Lows (Recently Fr Mike was asked to share a high and a low from the past week or so. Apart from his low of it being a bitterly cold Hobart day, everywhere Fr Mike went and whatever he did he kept experiencing God moments. The children at the school, the funeral, phone calls, – all spoke powerfully of God working in his life and in the lives of others. Amazingly that happens every day but sometimes we are too busy to notice.)
Week 479–Wisdom from the Abbey–Mother Hilda–I Am Because You Are
Wisdom from the Abbey–Mother Hilda–I Am Because You Are (Mother Hilda reflects on the African philosophy of Ubuntu which translated means I am because you are. Being in connexion with everyone around us, and quite probably with all those who are not there as well. We as a human race were created to be one with each other. War, dissension, separation, they're not part of our God-given DNA. At our deepest level, in the deepest part of us, a person can say to God, I am, because you are God. May the full meaning of that speak to your heart's this week.)
Week 479–Gospel Reflection–Deacon James Arblaster–Gratitude & Thankfulness
Gospel Reflection–Deacon James Arblaster–Gratitude & Thankfulness (Deacon James says the story of the Samaritan lepper, one of 10 cured by Jesus is an example of the gratitude and thankfulness for a prayer answered. Deacon James asks how gracious am I for the gifts, the talents, the genuineness that I have, and give praise and thanksgiving to God for them?)

Love this podcast as it provides inspirational speakers and music who I can connect with in a way that makes living with God as the centre of my life something that seems possible. Well worth listening to the whole show but the segment highlights are great to catch up with when you're on the go or to share with others.
