Lukas Carey - Controlling Your Own Narrative

TRIGGER WARNING - This episode features conversations about incarceration, suicidal ideation and infrequent coarse language. If you, or any you know require support, please contact Lifeline (Australia) on 13 14 11 or seek professional assistance. Additional links below.

Lukas Carey has worked in the field of education for most of his career as a teacher, trainer, coach, educator and lived experience academic. Lukas and I also share time talking about our children - before we're interrupted by my daughter towards the end of the episode!

    Time To Talk

    Time To Talk

    Welcome to the MenTalk Podcast!

Today I'll be discussing the 'why' of this podcast, as well as my own personal  journey. I'll also share what you can expect moving forward.

The last ten years have led me to this moment - and now it's time to talk.

A huge thank you to everyone's support - though we don't know what will come from this, if it helps start a conversation, assist someone in any way, change someone's thinking, or even just to take a bit of time and listen to the stories of others... then we have succeeded.

I sincerely hope you all can take something away from this, and I'm looking forward to sharing this experience with you!

Excellent view from a young man who is raw and honest about his mental health journey. A great resource to help others assist those around us with their own struggles.
