142: Why You Should Choose Hard

142: Why You Should Choose Hard

Are you someone who welcomes hard things into your life or are you someone who avoids challenges in your life (and as a result ends up making things harder on yourself)? When we choose to do hard and challenging things we become stronger, we show ourselves what we're capable of, and we make our contribution to the world. Unfortunately, with everything in our world getting faster, easier, and friction-free many of us have become entitled to comfort and avoidant of discomfort. But in order to live an extrordinary life of immense contribution, we have to actively choose to do and go through hard things.

In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast we're talking about hard things and why you should intentionally seek them out. Paige walks through the topic of comfort entitlement, explains why we are so adverse to challenge, and gives you her best three arguements of why hard things and challenges are something that you should actually run towards, rather than running away from. Enjoy!

140: You Don't Really Want More Stuff With Renee Benes, Host of the Unstuffed Podcast

140: You Don't Really Want More Stuff With Renee Benes, Host of the Unstuffed Podcast

You don't REALLY want more stuff. In fact, our desire for most things that we buy goes much deeper than just wanting that cute new sweater for our next date night or the organizational bins to have your produce neatly displayed in your fridge. There's always more hidden and deeper meaning behind our desires and this is exactly what I'm breaking down with my guest Renee Benes in this week's episode of the podcast.

Renee is a self-proclaimed shopaholic turned minimalist who took her family's journey of downsizing by 2,000 square feet and turned it into a global brand. She has been sharing her life stories and lessons of living with less in hopes of inspiring other people to design lives that feel bigger than stuff. In this conversation with Renee we talk about the deeper meaning behind why we want the things we do and whats really motivating your purchases at a core level. Enjoy!

139: Breaking Down Bankruptcy with Bankruptcy Attorney, Adrienne Hines

139: Breaking Down Bankruptcy with Bankruptcy Attorney, Adrienne Hines

In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast, Paige is breaking down bankruptcy with Ohio bankruptcy attorney, Adrienne Hines. Bankruptcy is a financial tool that many know little about, is greatly misunderstood, and is clouded in shame, guilt, and judgement. This stops many people from considering it as an option to receive a fresh start along their financial journey. Adrienne Hines is on a mission to change that and her mission is to transform bankruptcy from a daunting word to a powerful tool for financial wellness and deliver debt relief with dignity to her audience.

In this value-packed and enlightening conversation with Adrienne we are covering what bankruptcy is (and what is actually happening when you file bankruptcy), the two different types of bankruptcy and the requirements for each, the difference between using a debt settlement company and filing bankruptcy, how bankruptcy impacts your credit score and other ripple effects and implications of filing bankruptcy, what payments to prioritize if you're falling behind on your debt, and how to release the shame and guilt associated with filing bankruptcy. Enjoy!

    About Adrienne:
Almost 30 Years of Experience: Adrienne is Ohio's trusted bankruptcy expert. Over two decades, she's transformed bankruptcy from a daunting word to a powerful tool for financial wellness and delivering debt relief with dignity. 138: Destructive Desire

    138: Destructive Desire

Each one of us desires new things: financial freedom, to travel more, a new home, to be more disciplined to name a few. But is your desire destructive? Do you desire things from a place of not believing you're worthy of having it? From a place of disbelief in your capability to create in? From a place of believing that you can't feel the way you want to feel until the desire is acheived? If this type of desire sounds familiar, you're engaging in destructive desire.

In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast we're talking about the topic of destructive desire. What it is, what it looks like, why we desire things in a way that's destructive, and how to shift out of destructive desire and into clean desire. This will be an epsiode that has you thinking about the things you want and desire in an entirely new way. Enjoy!

Excellent Podcast

This is an excellent podcast on managing money, not just budgeting but addressing the real concerns you can struggle or find reaching your financial goals difficult! I thought I knew as much as I needed to know about managing money until I discovered Paige’s podcast and learnt money management is so much more than dollars and cents, it’s excellent!

Gabrielle38 ,

You don’t know what you don’t know. Now I do.

I truly wish this podcast had existed when I was a teenager.

So many years of false beliefs about money, budget hacks being sold but never addressing the root causes of debt, overspending - how to navigate a life in a consumer culture where the messages are constantly being reinforced that money (or what it’s exchanged for) equals worth.

I don’t recommend podcasts because we’re all so unique in getting where we’re going, but I’m going to go out and recommend this to anyone who has ever felt they just don’t understand money and that impacts the quality of their life.

This is not a yawning accountancy and number-crunching podcast, nor is it a Tony Robbins podcast (no shade, though!). It is deeply, deeply human. Paige is like a really switched-on best friend who truly wants to see you do whatever you want to do with your life and how to make money a tool that helps you make it happen.

To learn what IS in your power to control is a priceless gift. Thanks a million, Paige.
