Greetings from Australia!! Thank you Paul for replying on Instagram, but frick, after signing up for an iTunes account just so I can rate the podcast a solid 5/5 I will be stoked if this makes it onto the podcast! Thank-you gentlemen, for getting the good word of Muay Thai out to the masses. For me it has been a tool to keep me in line, and to pull me back from a not so wise pathway of substance use as a means of coping, but, the deep seeded Buddhist roots and the need for discipline has thankfully “saved” me from a less than ideal path. MT has given me the perseverance to now be a scholarship holder for a PhD position, something I was told that I was not even close to being good enough to achieve. Your Podcast has reaffirmed a lot about saying F**k you, I can do this, watch me! My first fight I lost via TKO in the dying seconds of the last round, whilst sustaining a ligament tear of the knee early on, but again, the topics you two discuses about heart and drive were a part of not giving up. I am very lucky to train at John Wayne Parr’s gym on the Gold Coast, so with the topics you’ve discussed around not giving up, and making sure you have a good environment to train and learn in, I can’t wait to jump back over those ropes! Keep spreading the good word sirs, it does not go unnoticed! I am thankful to be able to access the “knowledge bombs” of the likes of yourselves, and also the always inspiring Kevin Ross (Definitely get him back on the show). Much love from the sunny Gold Coast Australia!! Peace out (hoping I didn’t fan boy too much).
