Marvelous Podcast
An informative listen. Look forward to the new episode each week.
One of the most needed podcasts in a long time
Excellent podcast about music itself, how the music industry works, behind the scenes glimpses, technical information about digital music and personal recommendations about artists the hosts like and the best means of enjoying your music like the best sounding hi-res formats etc.
Highest recommendation!!
Overall very good
If you are into music this a great and though provoking show with some great guests, Kirk does tend to come over a bit smug about his aboslute knowledge of some things e.g. he gives HI Res fairly short shrift, sometimes for good reason but doesn't seem to have ever listened to anything on a decent system, Douyg has some nice quirky miusic choices ... but they can be stuck in the past too much chart about bob dylan and the grateful dead and to be honest very little coverage of any modern rock or dance artsist genres music etc (apart from good coverage of more minimal modern classical and Drakside) I usually at least enjoyu evry week but... this last Bob Dylan episode summed up what was wrong with the show ... all about a Bob Dylan concert Kirk went to with some one person who went to a different Bob Dylan concert ... did he wear a hat? did he walk around the stage? did the floor boards creak .... this was terrible self indulgent and extremely tedious podcasting ... do a 'I love Bob' podcast seperately to get it out of you sysyem ... the premise of the podcast is good ... dont be dragged into this untterly irrelevant twaddle or change the name to Stuck in the same Old Old track. Sorry to be so negative but to broaden your audinece you need to be more relevant .,.. but thank you for the considerable effort you iobviously apply each week. Thanks.
