How To Recover From Toxic Mold Exposure with Bridgit Danner

How To Recover From Toxic Mold Exposure with Bridgit Danner

Bridgit Danner was working as an acupuncturist in Portland, Oregon when her health started to deteriorate. She learned a lot, tried a lot of things, and even graduated from a functional health coaching program in an effort to heal herself and become a better practitioner. Although several things kind of helped, nothing helped completely, and she hit rock bottom in the winter of 2014. Soon after she discovered toxic mold in her 100-yr old home and began the long journey of home and body repair.

Bridgit is a longtime friend who was forced to become an expert in toxic mold because of her own experience of getting extremely sick from mold exposure over multiple years. This conversation was eye-opening for me and I learned so much talking to Bridgit. Consider this episode Toxic Mold 101 and an in-depth preview of her new book, The Ultimate Toxic Mold Recovery Guide: Take Back Your Home, Health & Life.

Many illnesses caused by mold toxicity are often misdiagnosed as other things and the underlying mold problem often goes unchecked for the rest of the person’s life. In this episode, we talk about how and why mold can develop in our homes, symptoms of mold toxicity, Bridgit’s experience with long-term mold exposure, what you need to know about testing, and so much more!

Postpartum Truths and How To Support Yourself In The 4th Trimester with Katie Bressack

Postpartum Truths and How To Support Yourself In The 4th Trimester with Katie Bressack

Katie Bressack is an award-winning holistic health coach who specializes in women's hormonal health. With her support, the women she counsels prepare their bodies for pregnancy, postpartum, increase energy levels, get their periods back and on track, eat healthier and maintain a balanced mood.

Katie joins me to talk about the fourth trimester, which is the period of time immediately following the birth of a child. We don’t often talk about the reality of postpartum and I think it’s important to shed light on the huge hormonal changes that occur and the very specific needs of a new mother during that period after pregnancy.

In this episode, we talk about what happens to our hormones after delivery, the woefully inadequate care that most women receive after having a baby, how you can set yourself up for success in the postpartum period, the type of support we need during the fourth trimester, and so much more!

Victoria Sydney/Mildura ,

The place to go for deep topics in a fun light

I love The Period Party! Not just when my boyfriend says “the what party??” but when I’m looking for answers about my body and my mind, it’s the perfect podcast for a whole spectrum of fascinating information and each episode is fun and funny and easy to understand (even the more science heavy episodes). Nicole and Nat are sensitive to the special considerations for all their listeners, making it a friendly space for everyone. Highly recommend this podcast.

Nickname taken sad face ,

Frustrating

Hard to listen to as hosts continually speak over guests and tell their own stories!!

pyrrole12 ,

Pyrrole disorder

Love listening to the show, been a great source of information and education. Can you please do a story on pyrrole disorder, I’ve done test to find out if I have it but don’t understand it completely other than what I have googled! I believe it is similar to adrenal fatigue in that it is not widely accepted in traditional medical circles.
