    Playing Offense In Disciple Making

    Playing Offense In Disciple Making

Offense in disciple making is using vision, intentionality, and tools to ensure the disciple ends up as a unique skilled disciple maker.

In offensive disciple making we have to make sure that the person we are discipling scores, not that I score.

Takeaway: Skilled disciple makers have the vision, the intentionality, and the tools to play offense.

Action Step: Draw up a play and run it with the person you are discipling.

The Wheel Illustration: Where the Rubber Meets the Road

The Wheel Illustration: Where the Rubber Meets the Road

In today's episode, we talk about the amazing discipleship tool known as The Wheel!

    Why the Wheel is great…

Gives a picture of a disciple
Assesses familiarity with the Word - depth & dexterity in the word
Assesses understanding of key Christian concepts
Models Scripture memory and intimacy with the Word
Gives an opportunity to self-assess his life as a disciple
Gives an opportunity to take a step in growth in a weaker area
Models being in-process and an alongsider.
Naturally sets up another meeting and future expectations.

Takeaway: What makes the wheel so powerful is that it starts with Christ and that’s where all good disciple-making starts.

Action Step: Take time to learn the wheel and share it with someone this week.
