    Plateaus in product-based business can be good or bad, depending on different factors. In this episode, we talk about why it's important to do an honest assessment of your business to figure out if you’re in a much-needed plateau or if you should be pushing for more growth immediately.
    Not every year is meant to have massive quantum leaps in growth– no matter how much we’d love if that was the case! Some years are meant for stabilization. After all, the foundation of your product-business can actually crack and start to fail if you grow too quickly in a short period of time. Sometimes you need to shift from growth mode to maintenance mode and re-assessing your systems and operations to ensure your business is ready to successfully grow to that next level.

    Time for another Product Boss coaching session! Today we have Yvette Erger who sells wedding gifts– flower girl proposal boxes, bridesmaid gift packages, etc. She feels overwhelmed and doesn’t know where to start in order to improve her business, Luna Forever & Co. She’d love to make enough to retire her husband one day, but has a hard enough time just raising five kids right now. Lots of Product Bosses are in similar situations, so let’s jump in and see what we can do.
    First, we talk about setting a concrete goal: How much do you want to make in one year? Three years? Next, we dig into the ideate phase: Are you making the right product and are you selling it to the right customer? Finally we dive into platforms. Right now, Yvette is only on Etsy. We do a little searching and see that Amazon FBA could be an excellent additional revenue stream. 
    If you have a good product, but just don’t know how to efficiently scale up, make sure to tune into this episode. You’ll learn how to review your current efforts and make plans for new growth. A little coaching can go a long way!

A smorgasbord of information!

The Product Boss podcast has been a game changer for my business. It is a true smorgasbord of information, ideas, strategies, inspiration and laughs. Jacqueline and Minna are very generous with their time and their knowledge and I have learned so much just from their podcast. It is refreshing to hear people talk about product based businesses and I love that they champion handmade businesses too. The best podcast for product bosses!

The Product Boss Podcast is my all time favourite marketing podcast to listen to. I spent a year binging this podcast and implementing the things I learnt in my small business Ohbeehave! (Cards, Stickers and Colouring-in sheets designed to teach children calming techniques) and was able to double my revenue for the financial year just from what I learnt in the free episodes 😳 I can’t wait to dive in to MSM this year and see where the learnings take me and my business this next FY.
