A lot of fun

I have just started watching The X-Files and wanted a podcast to complement my watch. For whatever reason, male podcast hosts don’t really hold my attention, so I was trawling through lists of The X-Files podcasts looking for women-hosted ones and this popped up. I love it. For hosts who reportedly don’t like the show, they are fair to the show, highlighting what the show does well and the aspects they like, while gently pointing out things that could’ve been done better. There is great chemistry between the hosts that makes listening a lot of fun. The hosts are intersectional feminists and they balance examining the show through this lens with some light banter and gentle ribbing of both the characters and each other. I also enjoy the ukelele and kazoo (?)-backed jingles between segments.

Strongly recommend for fans of Buffering the Vampire Slayer.
