We are very proud to announce that not only are we releasing our first episode of This Emergency Life with a very special guest, but we are launching the podcast in association with the College of Emergency Nursing Australasia (CENA). With this wonderful news, we didn't have to spend much time at all deciding who should be the very first guest to appear on This Emergency Life. Julie Finucane OAM received the Medal of the Order of Australia for Leadership in Emergency Nursing in June 2000 for services to Nursing particularly in the area of accident and emergency care and community.

Julie is well known and well loved by the Australian Emergency Nursing community as a truly inspiring leader, College of Emergency Nursing Australasia (CENA) founding member, and of course she personifies CENA's highest award for Leadership in Emergency Nursing - Julie Finucane OAM Medal for Leadership in Emergency Nursing. We talk with Julie about her career and her thoughts on the state of emergency care in Australasia.
