Joanne Rosanoski - Country Jo's Homemade

Joanne Rosanoski - Country Jo's Homemade

It was an absolute delight to get back on the mic after some rough times here in Victoria.
I can't think of a better guest to kick off the next round of episodes than Joanne Rosanoski from Country Jo's Homemade.
Jo sums up what it means to be a local producer. Her focus on 360-degree production ensures that products are made using local ingredients and sold back to the community right here in the Macedon Ranges.
We had a great chat about life, commercial cooking and sourdough bread making, and I can't wait for Jo to teach me how to get my sourdough career up and running.
    You can find Jo's products @ https://www.countryjoshomemade.com.au/
    Much love, and stay safe!

    Rob Pearse - Olives Olives

    Rob Pearse - Olives Olives

Rob and the team at Olives Olives have been growing olives in the wonderful Macedon Ranges for the last 15 years.
In addition to the family-operated olive grove of 300 tree's Rob also helps manage other olive groves in the area using his extensive knowledge of olive cultivation to assist the producers right across the Macedon Ranges.
I had a great chat with Rob about what he loves about being in the Olive game and learnt a few things along the way.
You can find Rob and the team from Olives Olives at your local farmer's markets in the Macedon Ranges.

BONUS: Re-gen Farms Australia Interviews This Local Life

A quick bonus episode where we turn the mics around and Re-gen Farms Australia interviews This Local Life about consumer choices when it comes to food.
I had a great time being on the other side of the mic and loved the chance to talk about how we make choices about what we eat.
    Enjoy!

Shannon and Steph - Re-gen Farms Australia

Shannon and Steph - Re-gen Farms Australia

Shannon and Steph have been farming for around 5 years and entered the world of farming from what you would say are less traditional backgrounds.
Their farming operation, Re-gen Farms Australia, provides some of the highest quality beef I have tasted and cooked with. Pasture raised protein is what they do best, and my advice is to get your orders in and see what the fuss is all about.
Shannon and Steph both have a love of the outdoors and a keen interest in the health of the environment and the impact that has on the produce they bring to market.
You can feel the passion that Shannon and Steph have for regenerative agriculture and the importance of maintaining the land's delicate ecosystems while producing a commercial product.
The end result, Re-gen Farms Australia is something the Macedon Ranges should be very proud of.
I am very happy to be able to help bring their story to life and offer some perspective around Regenerative Agriculture and its practices.

Ben Holmes and Shannon Wright - Romsey Brewing Co (Daily Lager)

Ben Holmes and Shannon Wright - Romsey Brewing Co (Daily Lager)

What a great way to kick off Season 2.
In this episode, we chat to Ben Holmes and Shannon Wright from the Romsey Brewing Company about how their flagship beer "Daily Lager" was born.
What a great story about two local guys who wanted to do right by their small community and bring beer back to the Romsey scene after the pub closed down.
Tune in and find out how they built the brand, the beer and took a simple idea from start to finish with amazing results.
An amazing effort by anyone's standards.
