Ungodly Hour ,

Cool story. Cool character. Cool science.

If you like sci-fi that does real science, strong female characters or audio journal style storytelling, then I recommend this to you. This show is part survival story and part exploration of a world that feels both so alien and so vivid.

As Dr Winifred Eurus attempts to survive the ocean moon she is stuck on she investigates and tries to understand its many strange lifeforms even as she tries to get to higher ground before the next giant tidal wave that regularly sweeps over the land.

Dr Eurus is a great character to follow. Full of insight, humour and sass, and played to perfection by Julia Schifini. The sound design is impressive, as is the writing, with descriptions that bring to life the landscape and the "worms" and "fish" and "crabs" and other creatures. And there are hints of deeper mysteries to be explored here as more about the moon is revealed.

One of the most impressive features is the science. You can tell thought and research went into the creation of this ecosystem, and the information is layered nicely throughout the show without ever feeling like a lecture.

Sea life has never been more fun

A very pleasant character piece that also really puts the Science in Science-fiction. I am keen to know where the show intends to lead us as well as the characters because as of now it has mainly been set-up and character work. This show isn't for everyone as it can come across as a tad too aimless but I would still recommend giving it a go.
Also bonus points on getting Zach Libresco because is it really a sci-fi podcast if he isn't in it?
