Tragedy in Paradise - Part One

This episode of Social Musings by Austin includes a brand new original fiction story by Austin Rosenthal. It is titled "Tragedy in Paradise," and this is Part One of two episodes. In mid-November of 2021, five tourists were swept out to sea by strong currents off a main tourist beach in Aruba. Aruban and Dutch search and rescue teams scoured the seas for 24 hours until the accidental castaways were found. Inspired by these actual events, I wrote a fictional story about what must have been the absolute terror that these tourists endured. Perhaps "Tragedy in Paradise" is so haunting, because it could happen to any of us. Enjoy Part One.
