#19 Talking energy, positive mindset and spiritual health with Lisa Throssell from 11 Principles

#19 Talking energy, positive mindset and spiritual health with Lisa Throssell from 11 Principles

In this episode, Kami dives deep into energy, healing and spirituality with holistic practitioner, Shamanic practitioner and registered nurse, Lisa Throssell from 11 Principles, a boutique holistic practice in East Victoria Park, Western Australia.
Kami and Lisa met only a few short months ago but shared an instant connection, due to holding so many shared values and approaches to holistic health and helping clients through empowering autonomy and self-worth and a focus on individuality. Where Kami’s practice concentrates on holistic nutrition and what is “on and off the plate” with the Circle of Life. Lisa’s centres on spirituality and energy and the two combine beautifully. Both practices are driven by the deepest respect for the individual as a whole and complex being and one that is by no means “separate” from the world we live in or the people we share the world with.
    In this episode, you’ll learn:
What energy is and why it is important to stay in balance
How energy is intertwined with our mindset and approach to our day-to-day
How understanding your energy and the energy of others can empower you with a positive mindset and the inner confidence to live by your values and so much more!

#16 All Things Iron: An interview with Dr Pradeep Jayasuriya

In this episode, Christie interviews Dr Pradeep Jayasuriya from the WA Iron Centre on iron deficiency, what it means, how to recognise the symptoms and how to manage iron deficiency versus anaemia.
Dr Pradeep Jayasuriya, aka “Iron Man”, is a leading general practitioner in Perth, with specialised interest in iron deficiency. He developed the first community-based iron infusion facility in Australia which allowed for easier and safe access to intravenous iron for the community. He is also actively involved in various research programs and contributes to policy in the area of patient blood management. So, we can’t put into words how thrilled we are to share his knowledge and experience with you.
Iron is such a key topic in health, as 25% of the world’s population are affected by iron deficiency, while 40% of women under the age of 50 are iron deficient, many of whom mightn’t be aware of it. We think you’ll love the learning in this episode!

What the difference is between low iron and anaemia
How to manage iron deficiency and anaemia
