Michael Greer is a genius.  No really! Michael was an actual Genius at Apple! Nowadays, he's the Head of Software and Platform at Cloudscene.  You may not have heard of Cloudscene and if that's the case, we're thrilled to be able to introduce you to such a cool company!

Cloudscene is part of the Soda group and they're creating a data-driven marketplace that transforms the way businesses buy and sell network services.

Michael has been with Cloudscene for a little over two years now and he's leading a team of engineers who are passionate about what they do all while kicking some serious goals.

Over a stack of pancakes, Michael chats with Carly and Emily about all things Cloudscene, his career to date and what it's like to transition to a business that's much smaller than what you're used to.

Jacqueline Hardy was the Engineering Manager of Brisbane success story Clipchamp. And then...  in  September 2021, Clipchamp were acquired by Microsoft (have ya heard of them?). Now, Jacquie is the Senior Software Engineering Manager for Clipchamp as part of the massive ecosystem (with over 200,000 employees) that is Microsoft.

So what happens when your workplace is acquired by one of the biggest companies in the world? What impact does this have on your team, your tech stack and the way you contribute to the product?

Jacquie was there for the whole acquisition ride and this week, she sits down with Carly and Emily for her very own episode of What's The Stack.
