Along the way, a strange thing happened — the politics outside the courtroom started to change when a new generation of activists and insiders began challenging the old system the gun court was part of. The curious case of political machinations coliding

Firstly, Dickerson's delivery is fantastic, to the point that he is a standout among podcast hosts, he is well researched, considers what he says before saying it and presents well. Secondy, the podcast is filled with great tales of how life goes at the very top, or at least on the way to getting there. Mistakes are made, lies are told, assumptions prove to be wrong, and all of it has interesting impacts (or not) on the course of careers and sometimes the world.

Knows his stuff

I'm yet another non-American trying to understand the extraordinary smorgasbord that is US politics, and this podcast is a gem. Dickerson's slightly 'jerky' delivery took me a while to adjust to but now it's very much a part of the whole experience. Well researched and very 'listenable'.

Splendid

Great podcast - a deep dive into US political history. Informative and quirky.
