Wonderful

I’m only following this as I can - in occasional binges when I have time and aloneness - but I fill in the gaps following readings recommended. Benjamin’s style is very engaging but, most importantly, his history is excellent, evaluating and synthesising sources into a viable thesis that has real human value. I love it all over again every time I listen.

Magnetic

This podcast really grows on you. I thought originally it a bit slow but Benjamin just keeps improving on his delivery. His style is like a good mate telling a tale over delicious red. It is engaging and at times witty as he covers his topic. I am certainly gaining some insights that have led me to chase down further information. Highly recommended.

Outstanding podcast

Really this podcast by Benjamin Jacobs should be on every history lover‘s top list of things to listen to! Right from the first episode the narrative is well set up and I absolutely love the walking tours of Europe in the first few episodes. I also love that Ben mentions a few of my other fave podcasts such as Kevin Stroud‘s History of English and The History of Rome by Mike Duncan.
