Neurotransmitters of Doom ("Man of the People")
It’s yet another episode where a creepy guy preys on Troi. But as we discuss, TNG’s “Man of the People” is also a surprisingly good jumping off point for discussion of more feminist themes, like emotional labor and aging women’s sexuality.

Customer Reviews
Thank you for the chance to hear this!
Just one of the reasons I was bummed about not going to STLV was that I’d miss this panel, but you guys fixed that for me! I may be biased but your contribution to how to fix the future was by far the best one. Thanks again!
So important and so entertaining
They cover lovely topics in an entertaining way that is so important. Feminist issues are explored and highlighted in a way that only boosts my love for the show
Fresh insights, informed commentary - a welcome (and witty) addition to the genre
A brilliant podcast from a group of clever ladies who definitely know their Trek, and have plenty of intelligent and informed commentary to add to the plethora of existing Trek material out there. I highly recommend this pod as these ladies add a different voice to the usual recaps, bringing a feminist perspective to the existing analysis; highlighting women actors, characters and writers; and the role of women generally throughout Trek history. Plus they are funny, entertaining, right up there with all the contemporary pop culture references, and also capable of some deep dives into obscure past trivia. Definitely check it out!
