The business!

We listen to this from Australia and we knew we were thoroughly hooked when, during the first episode we listened to, we were trying to add to the conversation. Don't miss this entertaining and yet (bizarrely) educative podcast.

Please stop it before I die laughing

As an expat English musician living in Australia, I have to say that The Word podcast provides me with exactly what I miss about England; mates sitting in a room talking about anything that comes into our heads, mostly music related. My only problem seems to be that I listen to these guys while driving, causing me to swerve wildly around crossing marsupials as I crease my sides and moisten my seat from laughing.

The perfect accompaniment to one of the best magazines in the world

All too often Podcasts from Magazines are little more than promos for the magazine, but Mark and David provide a wonderful supplement to the magazine, adding in additional background, information and all with some of the funniest music stories you will ever hear. The ‘Swan Toss’ is an absolute classic. The Podcast is produced as if it’s a group of mates having a good yarn down the pub and wanders all over a range of topics, all of which are treated with a real depth of knowledge, as well as humour. Its clear that these guys not only know their stuff, they have also been there at the heart of the music industry for the past 30 years. Wonderful stuff!
