    Murder

Mike tells Sarah about the most common forms of violence in America and how they differ (twist!) from what gets shown on TV. Digressions include Perry Mason, “It’s A Wonderful Life” and fruit-toting strategies. Mike appears not to understand the meaning of the term “order of magnitude.” This episode contains descriptions of police violence; the last 15 minutes are just a huge bummer generally.

Best hosts, best content, best podcast!

I freakin love this podcast. The hosts, Sarah and Mike, are so insightful - you can tell they put A LOT of time and energy into every episode. They are also hilarious, compassionate and genuinely just amazing writers.

As an Art History degree holder, it’s reignited my passion for socio-economic-cultural critique and the long essays I used to get my fix from writing. I suspect this podcast is right in the wheelhouse for many people who’ve studied or work in the arts - as inspiration, enlightenment AND entertainment!
