Juggling it All: Sacrifice and Balance in Parenting

Juggling it All: Sacrifice and Balance in Parenting

Ask yourself… How many roles do you take on each day? A parent. A partner. A sibling, daughter or son, and friend. Where do you feel pulled, and what does this look like in your world? In order to balance all of these roles, what do you feel like you end up sacrificing in the process?
Through their personal stories, Julie and Jordana so eloquently describe the idea of the “invisible mask” we present to others - the mask that demonstrates our strength, bravery, success, and competency on the outside, and in the process shields our internal feelings of being torn, doubting ourselves and guilt. This mask has protective factors but it's also important to take it off.
