Often our own view of the world is skewed and we need to see the world through a biblical lens, especially in the context of this passage which addresses both healing & suffering in the early church.

At the end of Matthew 9, there's an interesting shift that takes place. For the first nine chapters, it's all about Jesus. The disciples are mentioned, but they hardly do anything at all. Jesus does everything. Then Jesus gives them one small assignment that changes everything.
