Student Thinkers of Political Prisoners
Welcome to the podcast for a comparative history of ideas otherwise shortened as CHID 250. Throughout the quarter we have discussed the idea of political imprisonment through the readings of various prison notebooks. We have discussed the limits of existing theories of punishment for example deterrence, rehabilitation, incapacitation, and retribution for making sense of the incarceration of these individuals. However, their writings show and demonstrate to us that there is perhaps a deeper meaning behind incarceration.
