About Amena

Amena is a Scottish gal with South Asian roots, travel geek, and foodie who moved to Madrid in 2014. She has been fortunate to experience many things in life and live to tell the tale, just like this adventure that we are all living now. She likes to give everything a positive spin and believes this is the only way to get through challenging times.

She's from a big family so food has always been the way in which they bond. It’s also the way in which she measures comfort and quality when she travels and visits new places. She learned to cook out of necessity at a young age but that later evolved and became a way to create memories with family and friends. She eats out as often as she can and is always on the lookout for different types of cuisine as she feels this is the gateway into the culture and the people.
