It's fan boy time as Brian gets all 12 year old when he meets Andy Scott of Sweet and Kev is a massive Guess Who fan, so chatting to Burton Cummings is a major coup. 

Sweet are about to tour Australia and Andy Scott - the last remaining member of the line up that brought us Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run and Love is Like Oxygen - is up for a chat about the good old days and the tour. 

The Guess Who put Canadian rock music on the map with monster hits like American Woman, Undun, No Time and Albert Flasher. Burton Cummings was the lead singer and what a voice he has. The songs he wrote and co wrote have stood the test of time.

Tommy James has the songs and the stats to claim the title of Superstar. Starting with Hanky Panky in 1966, the hits rolled out - I Think We're Alone Now, Gettin' Together, Mony Mony, Crimson and Clover, Crystal Blue Persuasion and Draggin' the Line to name only a few. Then there were the successful cover versions by Billy Idol, Tiffany and Joan Jett.

Deep Purple may not be touring Australia now, but we did manage to get their bass player and the man who came up with Smoke on the Water - Roger Glover - for a chat and he is quite a character.
