The Toxic Dangers of Video Games

In 2001, Liz Woolley did not know that video gaming could take her son's life, but that is exactly what happened. After this horrifying tragedy, Liz, who was a member of numerous 12-Step organizations, started a 12-step fellowship for video game addicts (OLGA) followed by OLG-Anon, a group for family members, loved ones, and friends. Outreach, a community for those who inform and reach out to others, was formed later.i  During this interview, Liz shares some of the information she wrote in her book, "The Toxic Dangers of Video Games."  Every parent and grandparent should listen to this interview which includes ideas on how to protect your children from these dangers. Liz has been on the Dr. Phil Show, 48 Hours, CBC Market Place, Fox Nation's Deep Dive, and NPR Radio and has been interviewed by numerous major print publications. Liz's career was in Information Technology for 30 years. She has four children and nine grandchildren. The book, "The Toxic Dangers of Video Games," can be found on Amazon.com. Using reason in your life and relationships will give you stability, understanding, the ability to resolve conflict, and the ability to make wise decisions. The opposite of reason is using emotional reactivity which is at the root of dysfunction and misunderstanding. Listen to this video based on Isaiah 1:18 which explains how if God reasons with us, we need to recognize the importance of doing it in our lives and relationships. #listening #conflictresolution #healthyrelationship #emotionalreactivity #dysfunctionalrelationship
