Episode 86: Argyle, Weird Comics, and the Westfold fell Sis and Big Pop's Culture

    • Maatschappij en cultuur

Join Sis and Big Pops for a fun, fun talk about one of the things we love most—Nerd Stuff. We discuss our fav bits of nerd news: a YoGabaGaba relaunch, William Shatner’s new AI-generated art for his new kids record, the LexCon upped both rent for con, and Rainbow Rowell is slotted to do a new Lois Lane title. Plus a few fun new bits of media we’re excited about: Deadpool and Wolverine, Dead Boy Detectives and Rebel Moon: Part 2 on Netflix, the trailer for the LOTR cozy video game, and an Avengers vs. Alien comic run. For bingeing, Big Pops has been rewatching all of the extended LOTR, as well as the X-men animated series, and the new Fallout TV show. He also has been enjoying comics on Hoopla. Sis had been rewatching Brooklyn 99, listening to a lot of Taylor Swift, and reading werewolf books (how very 2009 of her.) She also had watched Damsel and Arthur the King. Then, Pops shared his pull list! This week he introduces us to Action Comics 1054 Superman Issue 13 DC; Roxxon Presents: Thor Issue 1 by Marvel; as well Redcoat issue 1 by Image, the Ghost Machine Imprint. His new number 1 is Uncanny Vallely by Boom Studios. His Book of the Week is Nightwing issue 113 (legacy 300) by DC.  This week we reviewed the Apple Original movie, Argyle. This episode was originally recorded on 04/23/24. Check us out on twitter @sisandbpops
