The hit TV series “The Boys” has its Season 4 premiere on the day this podcast is released, June 13, 2024. In October 2023, Amazon Prime Video released a spin-off series, entitled “Gen V.” This episode reviews Gen V while previewing season 4 of The Boys.

Gen V tells the story based on The Boys comic book story arc "We Gotta Go Now" by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. Ennis was featured on this podcast in Episode 375. It takes place in The Boys universe and deals with a superhero school and its students.

Veteran sportscaster and Hall of Justice regular Marshall Harris rejoins the show to discuss Gen V and give his thoughts on what to expect in The Boys Season 4. They also discuss the recent news that Season 5 will be the end of the Boys, while spinoffs may continue.

X-Men '97 is the continuation of the original animated series X-Men. It “takes place” shortly after the events of the original series finale. This is the 3rd podcast in three weeks to focus on this Marvel series. The X-Men are dealing with the fallout from the apparent “death” of their leader, Professor Charles Xavier. Many of the original voice cast are brought back for this show, with notable exceptions.

Longtime comic and X-Men fan and sportscaster Robin Lundberg makes his second appearance on the show. While the series is overwhelmingly praised, there are certain debates about plot choices discussed in this episode.

X-Men '97 is the highest-rated Marvel series on Rotten Tomatoes to date. Gui Agustini is a Brazilian actor who was cast as Roberto da Costa in X-Men '97. Agustini joined the podcast to discuss his being cast as Roberto and the reaction from the fans since the show's release. Agustini also discussed his interactions with the legacy X-Men voice actors, who were in the original series that X-Men '97 is based on. He discussed both positive and negative feedback that he received on social media after the show came out, dealing with his not being of the same ethnic origin as Roberto.

Chris Britton played Mr. Sinister during the 1990s X-Men: The Animated Series and the current continuation series X-Men '97. The classically trained Canadian actor tells the story of how he came into the role initially in the 90s as well as the process of re-auditioning for this new series. Britton explains what Sinister has meant to him and his career, and his experience with fans at various comic-cons around the world. He also comments on the new show with opinions on plot decisions.
