Hi, I’m Alex! I lived in a big city with my dad. He was a stuntman. That meant he acted in movies and did all sorts of stunts instead of actors. He was very cool, and I had always been proud of him. However, Dad couldn’t spend much time with me because of his job, which made me miserable.

We tried to get to the lifeboat but were separated by a thick wall of smoke, and I lost sight of my parents. Then, I saw mom’s locket lying close to the fire. I tried to grab it, but it was too hot, and all I got was a burn. Mom was screaming for me to escape, so I jumped into the lifeboat. My memories after that were fuzzy... When I came to, I was in an orphanage. My lifeboat had been washed ashore. I couldn't remember the faces or even the names of my parents.… So no one could find my relatives. I had no choice but to stay in that orphanage. Ever since then, I had been living in a small beach town. As a reminder of that fateful day, there was a scar on my palm... I had always felt self-conscious about it and tried not to show it to anyone.
