Miami Book Fair International is a premier program of the Florida Center of the Literary Arts at Miami Dade College. Over eight days each November, downtown Miami becomes the center of the literary world when Miami Book Fair International welcomes hundreds of thousands of book lovers who attend readings and discussions featuring prize-winning, best-selling and emerging authors from the U.S. and around the world. Founded in 1983 by Miami Dade College and community partners, the Miami Book Fair has been recognized as the nation’s finest literary event of its kind. In 2002, the Fair became part of the Florida Center for the Literary Arts at Miami Dade College, a cultural and academic initiative that promotes the advancement and appreciation of literature. The Miami Book Fair celebrates literary culture in three ways: the stellar Congress of Authors, the Street Fair, and the International Pavilions Village.
