Other Belgians?
I found the recent episode about Leopold II very interesting, especially since I am Belgian myself. With the BLM movement, Leopold II has been often brought to the attention, as is right. However, it makes me sad to think that people who hear this story and don’t know anything else about my country, will only remember this gruesome bit of our history. Why not make an episode to celebrate great Belgian women of noble blood, like Queen Elisabeth, the wife of Albert I?
Funny, informative & entertaining
I love this podcast. The host is such a brilliant story teller, she is funny, critical and Informative. While you are entertained, it is also clear that the show engages in research and critically engages with these stories and sources and with different scholarly disciplines relevant to it. You get really juicy gossip, and feel smart while doing it! Highly recommend this podcast!
