Dessert, that’s what Pop Tech Jam is.

Every morning, on my commute to work, I listen to the usual suspects: BBC World News, the Economist, Babbage, Business Daily. I like to be up-to-date on the news by the time I get in. That’s business.

On Thursdays, however, things are different… there’s anticipation.

PTJ, in addition to being extremely informative, is the only podcast I genuinely look forward to. The content is rock solid, the commentary insightful, and the delivery... is delightful. It takes discipline not to skip all the other podcasts to get down to dessert.

Run by two New Yorkers, the show can only be described as perfect chemistry. The duo conveys content with JD’s razor sharp, yet understated, wit contrasting with the Kaiser’s exuberant, yet thoughtful, rants. A fine blend of accessible and esoteric IT news, with a healthy sprinkling of geek references and pop culture, the podcast has global appeal. “Pop Tech Jam” means exactly what it says.

Don’t be fooled by the New Yorker banter, the content is of caliber and keeps me up-to-date on my tech awareness. As casual as the show seems, clearly there is great attention to detail as nothing is left un-crafted.

Thanks to this podcast, I learned about blue-snarfing. 'still waiting for an upcoming episode on blogs vs. tribbles.

Well done JD and Pedro!

Happy Easter egg hunting!

Ira
