Now That The World's Opening Up....

Now That The World's Opening Up....

It's been over a year since anyone has really gone out, mingled, made new friends, and been out on any sort of date. We know that everyone's flirting and dating skills may be rusty, and that's okay! It's important to be simple and to take your time. Since this is our Season 1 Finale, we decided to finish it off with a really hot topic that many will enjoy. Leigh and I sit down to talk about strategies on how to approach the dating scene in a post-COVID world, how to value companionship and friendship over directly seeking a long-term relationship, and lastly, what steps to take towards meeting people. A simple step is better than no step at all. Also, be patient for Season 2 because we are coming back stronger and sexier than ever!

    RE-JE-CTED...Rejected! You just got...what?

    RE-JE-CTED...Rejected! You just got...what?

No one said that life is all fairytales, unicorns, and cupcakes. Well, maybe Disney said it, but let's be honest, life comes with all sorts of ups and downs. Being rejected is the worst, whether it is in one's love life or otherwise. However, it's that feeling of not being good enough that lingers on afterward which brings us down. We just need to learn how to handle those moments so that we stand in power over them, rather than those moments controlling us. Leigh and I discuss the hot topic of being rejected, how to manage and move forward, and what to do with that feeling of not being good enough. Every experience has its own purpose and reason. Listen to this episode to keep your spirits high!

    Arguments, They're No Big Deal.

    Arguments, They're No Big Deal.

Life comes with challenges and obstacles no matter how positive we can be all the time. The same goes for relationships of all kinds. Arguments are one of those things that we cannot escape from. However, usually, people either run away from arguments and therefore the relationship itself, or, they become so combative that nothing can be accomplished and everyone remains hurt. In either case, there is no healthy resolution and no growth. In this week's episode, Leigh and I sit down to discuss our own experiences with having arguments in our life, the conflict resolution strategies that people can employ, the questions that people can ask themselves when they are in a conflict and/or an argument, and the 3 powerful words of "FEEL, DEAL, and HEAL".

Don't You Know That You're Toxic?

Don't You Know That You're Toxic?

We all have encountered toxic people in our lives. And let's face it, or more so, let's admit it, we too have engaged in toxic behaviour ourselves. But in a lot of cases, empathic people, like Leigh and I, can easily get sucked in and affected by other people's toxic personalities. We tend to want to help them when really, they don't actually want help, let alone understand that they have a problem. In this episode, we get into the nitty-gritty of what constitutes toxic behaviour, the 6 types of toxic people, and how to spot them, and most importantly, how to deal with them. Enjoy!!

    Discovering Our Sexuality

    Discovering Our Sexuality

For some, the path to discovering their sexuality is filled with joy, and for others, it could be laden with fear and anxiety. However, when one arrives at their final destination in solidifying their sexuality, the most important thing is to be shameless and confident about it. Leigh and I are both done with society treating the topic of exploring and discovering one's sexuality as taboo. In this week's episode, Leigh and I talk our heads off as we share with you what our experiences have been, how we came to terms with our sexuality, and how we overcame our shame with forgiveness and acceptance. Also, you won't want to miss the hilarious game that we played: "Green Light, Red Light: Exploring Our Sexuality Edition!"

Surviving an Abusive Relationship feat. Tori Stewart

Surviving an Abusive Relationship feat. Tori Stewart

Thanks to the #MeToo Movement, many women, and men have found the courage to share their experience of being sexually assaulted and have been able to stand up against this type of abuse at the workplace, at home, and everywhere in between. Unfortunately though, being sexually abused and assaulted is still widespread and the issue has not been fully rectified yet. Some remain fearful of seeking help and don't know where to turn to. This week, we sit down with Tori Stewart who discusses how she survived an abusive relationship, found self-acceptance and self-forgiveness, and reestablished a sense of trust to date again. To all our survivors out there, power to you! And for those who are struggling, we sincerely hope this helps.
