My aim is to show how, now more than ever. a spiritual perspective is needed in the world. To help solve individual problems and to help solve social problems, to help deal with heartbreaks and loss, to help deal with racism and inequality. And of course it is not just about dealing with suffering. It is about the joy of being in evolution, the joy of waking up and the joy of growing up.

#13 Spirituality in Relationships: Part 2
This is the second interview of Micky and myself by Raf Stevens. We continue to explore themes such as relational destiny, spirituality as depth, eros, and open relationships.

#12 Spirituality in Relationships
Raf Stevens interviews myself and Micky about our marriage. This was a huge step for us: exposed, vulnerable, proud, loving – we experienced many different feelings on the way! Raf has created a moving, elegant montage of this “coming out” of our relationship.

#11 Abraham and Buddha: two sides of spirituality
This was a very personal, deeply moving dialogues in which Marc and I share what we believe to be the spiritual life.I don’t know anyone who combines intellect with heart in the way Marc does, drawing on his experience as Kabbalist, Rabbi, philosopher, author and teacher.I have never felt the meeting point of West and East as strongly as in these moments: the importance of feeling the pain in ourselves and the world as a spiritual practice, the importance of non-attachment and the realisation of True Self.

#10 Modern spirituality in the face of ecological catastrophe with Tom Hannes
Tom is a wonderful mixture of Zen adept, performer, therapist, academic… We cover a lot of ground with a depth and humour that seems to come naturally to him. We pay particular attention to modern spirituality in the face of ecological catastrophe – and prepare for a nice surprise at the end!

#9 Spiritual teachers: the benefits and the problems. Dialogue with Jeff Carreira
Last year I spent 10 days sitting in meditation in Sri Lanka with this wonderful teacher Jeff Carreira. This dialogue is the follow-up of an impassioned conversation Jeff and I had during the course as we share our experiences on both sides of the teacher/student fence.
Customer Reviews
Very good podcast on spirituality (except the Gafni episode)
I’ve found the series of podcasts very informative. The wake up - grow up - show up trilogy makes a lot of sense and brings clarity and structure. as well as the six principles of spirituality. I appreciate that James Bampfield is not posturing as a guru but speaks in a very genuine manner and stays away from new age BS (except for the Gafni episode). I think that the episodes where James is doing most of the talking are more interesting than the others. My only reservation - it’s a big one - is about the episode featuring Marc Gafni. There is no spiritual vibe in this. Very poor content and lots of name dropping and self promotion by Gafni. Not a good association for Bampfield in my opinion.
Inspiration
A must listen for everyone that wants to find a way to truly be spiritual in a society that is growing more individualistic and disconnected every day.
James has been an inspiration for me ever since I got to know him 2,5 years ago.
He has sparked my spiritual awakening. I now have a more fulfilling life and I feel so much more connected to myself than ever before. This a truly a priceless gift. By listening to this podcast and getting to know the work James is doing, I hope you will also find the strength and courage to start or further deepen your spiritual journey.
