Steven Allen Young and His Bittersweet Redemption Story A Woman Like You

    • Society & Culture

Have you ever passed a homeless person on the street and thought to yourself, how did they get here?  Have you ever passed judgment and thought, “that would never happen to me?” Or assumed it was their own fault they ended up in this situation?Or maybe you’ve thought the problem was too big and that nothing you were going to do would solve it.

Our guest today is here to share his remarkable story of a tragic childhood that spun him into a life of bad choices.  Those bad choices led him to prison and then eventually onto the streets where he found himself homeless for 5 years on the streets of Nashville.

Spoiler alert: Steven is now a best selling author of his book ‘FROM CHAINS TO CHANGE’ and is the co-founder of HOME STREET HOME - a Nashville organization that helps the homeless community with their everyday needs like shelter, food and toiletries but also with the ultimate goal of getting them back on their feet.

Our conversation was packed with so much emotion and inspirations I just couldn’t imagine editing anything out.

This is part one of my conversation with Steven Allen Young.
