We talked about how COVID impacted her life and resulted in her husband starting an apothecary candle business, HelloFriendo. In this week’s episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we chat to the fabulous Bea Appleby, who is a Journalist, Author & Editor of The Female Lead. The Female Lead is an educational charity which does such important work in the interest of women. We had such a great chat, one of the truly incredible projects they worked on was called Disrupt Your Feed, the project worked with young women, getting them to follow different types of women on social media, the results were amazing!. We also chatted about their new book which I was lucky enough to be included called 'We Rise By Lifting Others', which features 67 women who are leaders in their field. All proceeds from the book sales go towards the incredible work The Female Lead do as an education charity.

This week we spoke to Mandu Reid, leader of the Women’s Equality Party. We recorded this episode because International Day of the Elimination of Violence against women but talking about violence against women is sadly always a relevant topic. In our chat we explored the link between sexism and violence against women, how all of that contributes towards gender inequality and why, despite it being the most persistent and devastating human rights violation in the world, it’s not high on the political agenda. Mandu talked about her party WEP’s hopes and plans to end male violence against women and what changes we need to install in society to address the challenges we face.
