Countering the Current Struggles with Hope, Purpose and Empowerment Advancing Resiliency in Education with Jen & Jen

    • Mental Health

Episode 11: In this episode the Jens discuss how currently many of our youth are struggling through the pandemic. The concept of social contagion is that young people are easily impacted by their social circles. Since their social circles are experiencing a "collective grief" due to the pandemic, there are many contaminants of negativity for them. Educators have an opportunity to deliver an antidote to the social contagion while staying on course with their curriculum and current teaching practices. The last thing educators need is additional tasks added to their already full plate. This antidote practice adds no additional time to their schedule, however it does add all the components needed to enhance the well-being of our students.
Hosts:
Jennifer Baker, LMFT
Jennifer Johnson, LCSW
