WHO designated 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife. Ofcourse when they zeroed in on the theme, little did they know that COVID19 was underway. So 12th May not only marks International Nurse Day, it also gives everyone an opportunity to acknowledge all the great work done by them in this pandemic. The selfless service to community, that unfailing call of duty, without thinking about what it could mean to their own and their family’s well-being. A salute and humble thank you to the nursing community.
